S/S Shirts - Summer 2019

This year's selection of men's short sleeved shirts leaves us almost spoilt for choice, with many brands presenting this summer wardrobe essential in luxury fabrics, loose drapes and a variety of pattern prints, ready for relaxing days in the sun. Here is selection of staff picks from some of our most recent deliveries, available now in-store and online at

Above; the Old Nanpou Notched Collar H/S Shirt by new-to-wellgosh Japanese label, Sasquatchfabrix. This lavish style is made of a lyocell, rayon and linen blend that is super-light and soft against the skin and features an indigo allover print inspired by traditional ukiyo-e paintings. An open collar and snapped closure keep things casual, while the addition of discreet side-seam pockets offers welcome functionality for when you ditch your jacket. For a complete summer outfit, pair with the matching Old Nanpou Shorts.

Our Legacy's Acid Landscape Box SS Shirt elevates a signature silhouette by the Swedish brand, with this season's presented in an Italian linen fabric and covered in a trippy print that's perfectly in-line with contemporary fashion's dadaesque tendencies of late. This style is cut with a wide, boxy fit and completed with a chest pocket and large Mother of Pearl buttons.

Norse Projects resist the pattern print trend with their Osvald Seersucker SS Shirt in Dark Navy, utilising a textured cotton fabric known for its natural cooling properties and rich-toned reaction to dyeing. A regular fit, signature top button placement and shirttail hem present a sophisticated look, easily combined with countless potential outfit choices.

The Flower Road Shirt by Universal Works is inspired by continental styles of the 1950s, recalling the laid-back lifestyles of holidaymakers, the rich and the retired. A fine, lightweight plain weave cotton provides the perfect base to a vintage floral print in soft, cool hues, while the shirt drapes loose and boxy, cropped slightly at the waist.

Carhartt WIP present a selection of logomania designs within their SS19 collection, including this Typo SS Shirt in Tobacco/Wax. For this loose-fit silhouette, the workwear brand have supplied a 5.3 oz. cotton twill base and tightly packed the outer face with bold tiled branding, channeling influences of high-end fashion styles of the '90s.

The last of our selection is a much more understated approach by London-based menswear label You Must Create. The YMC Chicano Cats Meow in Cream is made of incredibly light, breathable and naturally toned needlepoint canvas and features subtly altered design details, such as a wideset placket and a slightly curved open collar and front hem.
