Here we go with another rendition of On The Foot, picked by our Italian stallion Remy. Remy loves his runners, we call him the Spiri-donny due to his love of Nike Spiridons. To be honest he loves all things footwear, so here are his five picks for the warmer weather...
It only seems fitting to start with the Universal Works x Birkenstock Boston, especially with the weather hotting up of late. A few of our lads even had a football match this week; jumpers for goal posts, shop lost 8-0 to the web, we go again next week...
Based in Nottingham, Universal Works are some of our dearest friends, and they’ve recently launched this wicked capsule with Birkenstock. I won’t bore you with the science behind the construction and the materials used, as we all know how well regarded Birkenstocks are. Premium suede, that’s all I’m saying.
This one right here, honestly one of the comfiest shoes I’ve ever worn. The Vomero 5 initially rereleased a while back under a collaboration with A Cold Wall. Fun fact, Samuel Ross actually studied at DMU, one of our own. Sort of?
The adidas Nite Jogger has fast become a modern day classic since its initial arrival on the shelves. earlier this year. A mixture of the old and the new, The Nite Jogger is the result of old school aesthetic and modern running technology combined.
Not only are they pretty certi for your feet in terms of support and comfort, they’re also available in a variety of lovely colourways. Check them all out here.
Next up, the New Balance M998. New Balance have been smashing it out of the park lately, especially with their 990 releases. But the Made In USA M998 has all the facets of an excellent shoe; great construction, super quality and a great shape, topped with a lovely colour way, and great comfort whats not to love? A favourite with Remy and the rest of the staff here at Wellgosh.
Clarks Originals are timeless, they look good with nearly everything and there’s a silhouette for every occasion. Night out? Yep. Wedding? Yep. Funeral? Yep. Job interview? Yep.
The Wallabee is definitely one of the most iconic models, donned by the likes of Ghostface back in the 90s and Big Nasty more recently. We've currently got a wide selection of different colours (check them out here) but Remy has selected these off white beauties (no doubt to don with his white linen twinset and fedora hat) perfect for the summer.
That’s all for this issue of On The Foot, but there are plenty more wicked kicks in store and online, so treat your feet this summer!
