Fred Perry has had longstanding association with subcultures, with musicians adopting the famous Laurel Wreath in an almost cult-like fashion; from Don Letts to Mike Skinner, the brand has attracted artists from across genres, generations & cultures.
Their Subcultures Live events are a platform that celebrates this rich history and connects like minded people through the power of live music. They have hosted the likes of Public Image LTD, Fat White Family, Black Grape, Throwing Shade, King Krule & Lee ' Scratch' Perry; an eclectic mix that demonstrates Fred Perry's commitment to music.
We're over the moon to announce that Fred Perry will be hosting their next Subcultures Live event here at Wellgosh, bringing Leicester five-piece Easy Life to do an exclusive live set from our shop on Thursday 13th September.
Easy Life explore that push and pull between the promise of a simpler existence, and the hedonism or temptations which occasionally threaten to get in the way of it. Mixing transatlantic hip-hop/funk influences with elements of indie, punk, and the less-
exotic realities of rainy middle England, Easy Life produce some serious head-nodding music.
Come and join us & Fred Perry for a drink in the shop from 7.30pm on Thursday 13th September. The bevies are on Fred!
