It’s been 40 years since Nike introduced one of their most revolutionary and timeless silhouettes, Bruce Kilgore’s first basketball trainer designed for Nike, the Air Force 1. To celebrate the basketball shoe that’s popularity is prevalent year-on-year, they’ve released a triple white that’s unlike any other. This edition of the Air Force 1 Low has a smooth, full-grain leather upper to help prevent dreaded creases that can take a Boxfresh pair into the beater rotation quick time. The tongue has a special edition gold tag, accompanied by an embroidered ‘Nike Air’ heel panel and toe motif.
The familiar perforated toebox keeps things cool, alongside a woven sock liner with an added layer of Peeva foam for comfort. The chunky midsole houses an embedded airbag for underfoot support, with a concentric circle outsole reducing resistance on the pivot of the foot. A limited edition toothbrush is included to keep your new kicks as clean as the first wear, with a callback to the original release date ‘Since 1982’. It’s been almost impossible to get hold of a pair of triple whites, thanks to independent custom trainer stores and the reseller market, so why not take your chances on a unique pair to update your Air Force collection or simply to own a part of history.
