Levis Vintage Clothing (LVC) SS19 has just dropped here at Wellgosh, with a nice little variety of bits for you to check out.
LVC is the premium line from Levis, taking inspiration from traditional American workwear among it's 40,000+ archive pieces.
Every year LVC revisit iconic pieces from the past and give them a new lease of life - by bringing back old cuts and materials to give them a modern context.
Arriving on our second floor is the 1953 Type II Jacket. Denim jackets are one of the first things that spring to mind when you think of Levis, right?
Sourced from Japans infamous KaiHara Mill, which is renowned for it's high-quality denim, This one might just have you looking like James Dean.
The Shorthorn Shirt arrives in Mint Green Plaid, which is a replica of an archived piece from the original Levis collection. Inspired by the shorthorn bull, this shirt is a trademark look for any rodeo, or just normal day to day life (which is just as hectic, yeeeeeeehaw.)
The Bay Meadows shirt has arrived in two colour-ways, black and mint green. An archival 1930's sports silhouette which is cut for a cosy fit. It's even printed on soft Portuguese cotton, that stuff is real soft, trust us.
Wouldn't be a Levis post if we didn't mention the jeans, would it? We've had the 1947 501 turn up in two colours, Moon Rock & Dark Star. The 501 rose to popularity after the second world war once the materials used to make them became easier to get a hold of, The 501 has been a mainstay ever since.
Replicated from the original 1947 release style, these jeans utilise Shrink To Fit technology, alongside Selvedge Denim that is sourced from Japans KaiHara Mill. With all the standard little bits and bobs you'd expect from a good pair of Levis Jeans, these will definitely be a pair for life.
